At Beach Mahj, we bring people together through the timeless game of Mahjong — with a coastal twist. From lessons and social play to Mahjong events and rentals, we make it easy to learn, laugh, and play. Whether you’re joining us for your first lesson, dropping in for social play, planning a Mahjong-themed girls’ night, or renting tiles for your vacation home, every experience is designed to celebrate friendship, connection, and the joy of play. Our gatherings aren’t about competition — they’re about community. You’ll find laughter at every table, encouragement from new friends, and a welcoming space to play at your own pace.
Meet Jenn & Jessica — The 🩷 Behind Beach Mahj
Jenn, founder of Beach Mahj — East Texas roots, Dallas polish, and a Rosemary Beach resident since 2019. A former event planner affectionately nicknamed “The Facilitator of Fun,” she’s blended her love of connection, creativity, and community to launch Beach Mahj — a space where Mahjong brings people together in true coastal style.
Jessica, Lead Instructor — Florida born, Dallas seasoned, and now happily back where flip-flops are a lifestyle. She sells dreamy beach homes by day and dominates the Mahjong table by night. Equal parts sunshine and sass, Jessica has a natural gift for teaching Mahjong, creating laughter, and helping every player feel like part of the sisterhood.

on the beach, in the pool, anywhere the laughter’s loud and the cocktails are cold (all the cozy corners of 30A’s local hangouts)
Who can play?
All are welcome at the Beach Mahj table—
locals, vacationers, beginners, and seasoned players alike. Whether you live here full-time, visit often, or are just soaking up a little Gulf sunshine, there’s always a seat waiting for you.
Don’t worry if you don’t have your own tiles or NMJL card — everything you need to play is included in the drop-in fee. The sweet ladies of the Beach Mahj Social Club always bring extra sets, so we have plenty of tables ready to call “Mahjong!”
Our Social Play sessions are open to all skill levels and filled with laughter, encouragement, and coastal camaraderie. You’ll meet amazing women from all walks of life — locals, second-home owners, and visitors — all connected by the same love for the game and the friendships it builds.
Drop in, grab a seat, and join the fun — where every game tells a story, every friendship shines like sea glass, and every “Mahjong!” feels like a celebration.
How do I sign up?
1. Find a Game
Check our weekly calendar under Mahjong Lessons, Social Play and Mahjong Events to see where Mahjong is happening along 30A — from Rosemary Beach to Watersound to Seaside and beyond. Sessions are added frequently, so you can always find a game happening today or later this week.
2. Sign Up
Choose your day and location, register online, and secure your seat at the table. Most sessions include a mix of regulars and visiting players — so you’ll always find a friendly face and someone eager to welcome you in.
3. Come Play!
We provide everything you need — tiles, racks, mats, and scorecards. Just bring your coastal spirit and a smile!
